Awoke sunday morning to find the Gazeebo collapsed, housing a small swimming pool. Also after stepping out of my tent sunday morning, heard somebody sneeze and fart at the same time...very skillfull Weather was pretty miserable. Josh wanted £5, Martin would say no, he'd come to me, then I'd send him back to Martin lol. Close battle between Dave and martin for the "Flatulence King" title although Dave assured me, it was clean air. Gary thinks I'm gay..lol. JK n Ads had something to do with herman the german too..... Nige danced....a lot. Oh, it also rained. lol.

Good luck with this mate, I bought a mk1 a month or so ago, but with the missis and my VR6 falling to pieces all the time, funds aint that good.

Oh on a side note, if it's very warm, does anybody have any objections being exposed to my slightly large belly and chest...not for too long of course. I promise i'll put it away when you're eating. I don't know if theres anything else we'll need, though if the worse happens, martin n sal can't make it, I'll be pretty full. Is there any chance we can make a seperate thread for what's going to be taken and who will bring what....so people can also add bits and pieces? -

I took nthat crown last month and the month before Helen lol. I've also discovered the rings are not that bad after all. Being a twonk, I didn't do a thourah valve seal check. It is the valve seals and not the rings. Have just spent the past hour replacing them. All sorted. I'm on a high feeling now -

Erm, guys, I might not make this one. I've got biiiiiiiiiig black smoke when I selerate away....just started today. I've gone through approx 3 litres of oil in 60 miles. I've had the head off and it isn't the valve seals.....it's the pison rings....hurray. Why does this happen to me. -

Martin, are you al sal coming down in yours if the Mullberry monster isn't on the road? I'll try setting off at a time I can get to Gordano to meet the M4 convoy with you 2 hopefully leading the way. Total time 1:55....from my town to Gordano....that's not traffic friendly though...........meeting martin another 10mins. I'm setting off at about 10am and take a steady slow drive, lest I arrive at Gordano too early and recieve a fine for over 2hrs stay. 1:30mins to martin....I'll be waiting at mcdy's at about 11:45am martin. -

Craig, thats too far away. Wanted to crack a beer with ya. Nevermind then. Nige, what the hell does "Crook" mean? lol. Well I gave mine a good going over on sunday last week.......needless to say I'm now driving around in a very dirty car. I've been working 13hr shifts since friday.... again all this week till thursday night. I'm going to struggle to get up friday, let alone clean it. I suppose I can give it a going over on Friday evening at Bristol. -

I suppose 2 crates of beer and several days of doing nothing can warrant a bucket and sponge. What's your next event then Craig? -

That's typical. I've been working my ass off through blistering heat for the past 2 weeks......the weekend it counts looks 50:50. Law of sod though I guess. Dave, I'm bringing the extra tent....but make sure you bring summin to sleep in other than a pair of trousers and a coat lol. As mine is not going to be on the stand, is there any point in me bringing a bucket n sponge? -

No Nige, she's at work on the Saturday, If I lived in gloucester I may have gone back for her. As it stands, it's just big old me. She's going to the Annual meet though and possibly the GTI Inters at Bruntingthorpe, Leicester. -
Cheers to you both. Appreciate feedback.

I have a decat pipe, the exhaust is not up to scratch though....example being, the join between the letterbox middle silencer and the backbox join isn't sealed properly, so I know the MPG will be slightly affected from leaking. I can't afford a new system atm AND to go to Bristol...but I also know the lambda sensors pretty much screwed and has been for months....hene the 14mpg average I've been getting. Will a normal lambda increase my mpg somewhat or will I need a wide band decat sensor? I know it's daft, but I just think, as the lambda is situated before the cat, that essentially the sensor

Just messing Mine failed on that too. After removing it myself, I found that the bulb had gone and I had to get a replacement from VW. It escapes me as to how much it was though. Damn you Nige, you win, this time. lol.
