  1. I will put up part numbers for everyone when im sure they are the right parts, lol. The guy at the parts dept had my chassis no and reg ect so im hoping they are correct. I have a load of other handy part no's for R32 wishbone bushes, r32 Tie rods, ect that I can put up too. (I have been collecting the parts for the R32 hub conversion but i will leave that for another post)
  2. Cheers, I will keep this updated and post any tips i can. The pipes i got from VW parts were the same for non 4motion golfs so im hoping they are right. They came in a massive box!, lol They were cheaper than the short pipes that run on the trailing arms tho! Also changing the flexis at the axle for braided lines from HEL, they look quality.
  3. Hi mate, thanks for your reply. It does look quite involved but im hoping that I will only have to lower the tank slightly. Just enough to get a hand up there and unclip the pipe. (fingers crossed but it never works out like that eh!) Thankfully I have access to ramps. The prop looks like just 3 bolts at the rear end then lower it enough and tie off.
  4. Can anyone help? I need to change the 2 hard metal brake pipes that run from the front of the car at the ABS unit along the chassis to where it meets the flexis at the axle mount. One of the pipes run above the fuel tank then across to the other side of the car. I have the pipes from VW (£30 odd each) and a host of nuts, bolts, pipe clips and a handfull of the heatshield clips. From what I can see I need to drop the propshaft, exhaust and fuel tank ect to unclip the pipe above the tank to replace. (I need to drop the exhaust to replace the cat gasket ect anyway) Has anyone done this job?
  5. almost always 320 miles to a tank ( To when light comes on) Most ive had is 398 miles when on a long run down south. Least ive had is around 230! Computer average over 4000 milees is 28mpg Real world average is around 26-27mpg. Get around 30mpg on my daily 35mile trip for work.
  6. I understand the benefits of partially blocking the radiator ect but If you leave these on when driving, dosent the cover on the grill block the air intake?
  7. Yeah mate, it was standard when I got it, one of the best mods ive done tbh. when driving normaly you dont notice the difference. When you nail it out a corner you can tell its putting more power down through the rear:-d On low traction surfaces like snow its easier to control and is more predictable.
  8. The driveshafts are complete with the ends that bolt to the gearbox end, theres 6 holes and I think there for the torx/spline bolts? hopefully ready to bolt up to the gearbox?

  10. R32 driveshafts onto v6 4motion -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi all, Thought i would share the current chapter in my golf V6 4motion which I have had for 7 years now! I am gathering all the parts necesary to convert to the R32 wishbones & hubs on my V6 4motion. For those that dont know about this conversion I will elaborate. Using these hubs and wishbones from the R32 will slightly adjust the geometry of the suspension components and tierods to allow for better handling and less understeer after a standard golf has been lowered. The part
  11. I find my 4motion good in the snow, although I do have snow tyres and the blue haldex :-p The main downer is ground clearance, Ive lowered on Eibach springs and have ripped the undertray off and god knows what other damage has been done.
