    yeh mines only done 89k and its quite noisey to. how much does it cost to replace the tappets?

    il check the brakes. but once i lifted the bonnet up and it seemed like them smell was coming from the engine bay.

    hi. yet another window problem. not sure what the problem is. The window goes up and down fine usually but as it goes up it makes this loud sound as though somethings in the way. The other day it went three quarters way up and wouldn't go any further and kept going back down automatically. any info would be great. thanks

    I got the chains checked and they are ok for the moment. But i have still got the same problem with the smell. Its not only if i boot it.. Even if iv been driving for an hour or 2 then when i park up their is this burning smell. It doesn't overheat. It drives fine though. Any ideas?

    its not only the 20bhp. he will also have a higher top speed and more torque. its a much better mod then a 6 branch and a decat.

    263 cams are supposed to be best overall for N/A cars as in idling and performance. 268 cams have a rougher idle and are usually recommended for people with forced induction. A 6 branch is not worth buying imo unless you go forced induction. I fitted a 6 branch along with a decat pipe at the same time in my previous n/a vr6 and did not notice much difference. The little increase in power is not worth the money plus the fuel economy worsens! I defo won't be fitting a 6 branch and decat in my current vr6!

    cams and a remap should get you around 215-220 bhp. 153mph is really good. Iv done 140mph in my previous OBD1 vr6 and it didn't seem like it was going any further.

    hi. i need to roll my rear arches to fit my 9j rims. I want the arches rolled without damaging the paintwork. But every bodywork garage iv been to so far have said that it is impossible to roll them without damaging the paintwork and also that if they heat up the paint..it will bubble up. Wheelmania in tamworth have advised me to get a angle grinder and to do it myself..but i don't want to risk doing it myself. Does anybody know any place that could sort my arches out? I know it's better to do the full job and sort the paint out to, as the paint may crack later down the line..but i dont mind

    Standard vs Standard the mk5 r32 really should make the vr look stupid in a straight line aswell. It makes more sense that the guy i raced must of taken it easy.

    But you would expect the r32 to be quicker because of the power/torque difference. Plus the sound that r32 made..crazzzy. How much heavier is the r32 then the vr?

    iv currently still got standard suspension and wheels and my steering also pulled to the left and right until recently i filled the air up in all 4 tyres..and it runs perfectly fine now. The standard suspension is rubbish plus the standard wheels are to thin/small for the weight of the car in my opinion..the combination of these two is why you can't go around bends at speed!

    yeh he was going for it for sure.. we was going in and out of traffic for about a half a mile before we reached the lights. He didn't launch it though. however his tyres did screach slightly.

    raced a mk5 r32 off the lights today. i was dissapointed with the r32. Got to about 60mph and the r32 was about a car length ahead. I reckon cams and a remap and it will be touch and go!

    hi. im looking to buy a set of coilovers. i know fk konigsport, konis are recommended but i dont want to spend too much. Im looking to spend a maximum of £350. Any recomendations? how about FK AK's? Weitec coilovers? are these any good? thanks
