  1. Cheers for all the comments, i'll get more pics up in due course as fitted new wheels again and sourced a Bra for it. have a few other bits still to get done at the bodyshop.
  2. the respray cost just about 2k,but is such a good job! It has an amazing shine to it! He done quite a few other bits too!
  3. Thought it was about time i put a post up about my VR6 which i have owned for a few years. The car is a 1995 Highline finished in mulberry with matching leather. Bought the car back in Oct 08 from a guy down in newcastle, picked it up for a bargain price with it having only covered 80,000 miles. Totally fell in love with the car while driving it up the road, first taste of a proper V6 after having owned pug GTi's,A3 turbo etc nothin is quite like the roar of a nice vr6 with a straight through system. Heres a couple of pics from when i got the car, cheesy wheels but everything else was good

  5. well had brand new MAF fitted at Star also changed temp sensor so i'll check ignition ring.
  6. MInes does this too, can't locate the problem but can get it started if i put it in 1st and let the clutch out and bump it keep the key turning over until it burst into life. Had it on VAGcom and it showed up no faults. It's doing my head in tbh.
  7. Okay just fixed my VR6 yet again - oil leek this time and since then my temp display on the dash never gets above 70 degrees. Was sitting at half way temp before i fixed the oil leek. Heaters in my motor have never been great but they are bloody crap now. When i bought the VR the guy had just done the themrostat and i've replaced everything else, head gasket, chains, temp sensor the whole lot. Was thinking water pump? any other idea's? Anyone else had this problem.

  11. replaced the idle control valve today,still no better,it is like the car is overfueling! Its really annoying now! Whats the chances of it being the crank/cam sensor?or lambda? Thanks for the replies!
  12. It's off thr roadnow using another dub and the problem is getting worse, as soon as most of the snow is away can get a better look at it. Thanks for the replies.
  13. No as i don't have a copy of it. Been trying to get ahold of one for my laptop but no luck. No one on SVAG is really that into helping me either by plugging it in. STAR performance did do it when they fitted the new MAF but said only thing that is showing is it has an immobiliser fault.

  16. Right guys need to pick your brains! My vr6 (1995 coilpack engine) has been a complete nightmare to start for the past little while,when your starting the car,(hot or cold makes no difference)you need to give it loads of gas,sometimes it will start with gas but other times it will start,rev to 1000 revs then cut out! We took it to star performance where we fitted a brand new bosch air flow meter but still no difference! The car has been de-catted so now im starting to think along the lines of the lambda sensor or crank sensor! Anyone ever had this kind of problem as its doing my head in lol, t
  17. Got drivers working the plug had came loose but still nothing on the passenger side.
  18. I'm having the same problem and looking for an answer also. Did think there was maybe two relays one for each seat but still can't get it working
