Mines is doing this too, was fine once MOTd for about a week and back to how it was before. Had to take the whole day off work last week as it refused to start. Will turn teh key will rev upto 1k then dies this can go on for hours then will just burst into life and run like there has been no problem at all. I've had it upto Star who replaced the MAF for me (now getting better MPG) but they said that my immobiliser is causing the problem but other people have told me it could be the crankshaft sensor.
