    i,ve been slacking.........................................NAWT!!!!!!!!............................. was wanting to wait a wee while before i updated as ive got more ideas coming through daily! the 3/4 rock n roll bed is fully fitted, bolted in and working.................. after the bed was completed i tackled the ply ceiling, tbh just did a quick job but tuned out not too bad! thinking a wee sand up the a few coats of stained varnish for a different finish! i got a wee man down in Doncaster to make me some timber/ply units to create the family camping interior! took me a 10hr round trip t

    excuse my vague description but the last few day my vr6 golfs engine is making a ticking noise when idling. i cant even pinpoint it to a side, it just sounds like it coming from the engine! my mate said it sounds like a quiet tractor when i drove away from him. car is an auto with about 80K miles on it. my mechanic is not experanced on vr's thus i'm asking incase its a common noise fault etc. i'm now not using the car incase its serious although it drives perfect. TIA for any advice (h)

    treated the vr to some black colour concept goodies this week................. heated recaros and interior plastic trims!.............. thanks again to Ian icy Chan for suppling and fitting the plastics!!!! also thanks to Graham who came round on wednesday evening and wound down my coilovers!!!!!!! my insurance asked for a few snaps for an agreed valuation so i gave it a wee lick and took some photos.................. wooden steering wheels rock!!!!!!! my arch gap is slowly disappearing!!!!!!! got a few more things to do till im happy then its back into the splittie interior for a mega

    cheers fella.................. well monday came and the vr was realeased into the scottish air! it had developed a wee oil leak and the battery was dead so new battery in and it fired up. the drive from ayrshire(dry storage) to bodyshop it cut out a few times and then when in neutral was revving itself?!?!?! heres when we opened the garage..................... looking well sorry for itself!............... arrived at the bodyshop and whipped the bonnet off as marty wanted it................ new parts to be fitted' date=' bonnet, lights, wheels and grill....................     great wee day out today in my bus................. DC11.5 car show at the vw verve wishaw! i got an invite by the orginisers to show my bus inside the car showroom, i was the only air cooled that turned up and i scooped the peoples choice trophy! here are a few snaps i took............ mk2 gti 16v only 20k miles on it............. vento vr6.............. mk4 modded golf.............. mk7 bagged polo.............. the runner up................. the center piece and trophies!!!!........... back home on the drive!.................. one up for the air cooled eh!!!!!!!!     excuse the delay i have been enjoyin driving it and not been working on it!!!!!!! (h) started sorting myself out and getting ready to tackle my interior! i'm thinking of using mdf the getting it sprayed brilliant white to match my wheels bumpers etc! yesterday i fitted a wbp ply floor and my 3/4 rock n roll bed................ drilled and bolted the bed to the floor and the back area using spreader plates.............. at first it was sitting off the square but after a few adjustments got it sitting perfect................. to finish it off i bolted a ply section at the bottom that will ho

    ha ha cheers dude...............thats what most people say, this is used as a winter car to preserve my splittie for the better weather months! as for my paintwork............... inc the new wings, all material and labour i think it was around £900 which i thought was superb! it transformed the overall look imo. its going back in for more paint when i get the new front end so will post up the new look as it develops! (h)

    well my vr6 has been dry stored through the summer months as i have been using my bus. managed to buy a set of mille migela porky twists, so sent them off to the powder guy and got them finished in shadow chrome...................... dropped them off at the tyre guy today to get some 195/40/17's fitted so i can drop the coilies a wee bit more........ also managed to buy a vento front so will be getting that painted and fitted when i drag the car out of storage.................... roll on the winter so i can get my vr6 out and ready for action! 8-|

    sup guys, well i've been enjoying the bus being back on the road!!!!!!! already clocked up over 1500miles. last week i collected my fresh alpine white rims from Adie @ Custom Coatings................what a superb job he has done.......again! i usually write a wee caption with my photos, this time no words as my photos do the talking! thanks again to all that comment on my thread! enjoy..................... next stop interior!
