I read somewhere, on a rolling road day, that all the standard obd2 cars where reading 185bhp

No worries mate

I read afew years back the the vr6 was quicker from 30 - 70mph then a bmw M5 from the same time period.
-
All you need now is a vr6 spoiler on the front

Got the same problem, passenger footwell was soaked this morning, so I got a long cable tie and pushed it in the drain nipple in the door, poured some hot water in the sun roof hole and manged to unblock it. Loads of shite came out aswell

Or you could go on the morette site and get the number, giv them a ring and ask what order the wires plug into on the old connectors.
-
I wish i looked at the wiring when i took them out!
Maybe ask jim, he answered a few question i had about the morettes.
-
Yeah, i think these were taken from a 1992 vr, so had flat four connector instead of the round type.
I just pluged the pins into my newer round connector and put loads of black tape around it.

The Golf A59 looks quite nice. I would get rid of the door mouldings, to give it abit more of a smoother look.

My mates readings were only out by a couple of points. on a J reg.
Like Ben said, make sure the engine is red hot.

Give Tony payne @ paynesbodytechnik in Iver/Slough (not to far from you) a ring for a quote, craftmanship is world class. (has won loads of awards) and price is very fair. Mabye also check out the website. http://www.paynesbodytechnik.co.uk/

Great company.. They even replaced missing bolts with shiny new ones, without me knowing. They also fitted my replacement steering wheel for free. Now thats first class service. They also do a free check on your car, which i strongly recommend to everyone. And they don't charge through the roof. I don't take my baby anywhere else.

Ive got the same problem, but does not do it in the cold, just when the weather is hot.
Mines a 96/P reg highline

This is my personal fav. I think the black strip at the bottom of the rear bumper needs to be flushed, to look perfect, other than that, i think it looks really smooth. http://www.dietrich-autostyle.de/detail.php?pid=753&car=Golf%203&brand=VW

It defo makes a difference on my car, when the revs go over 3500 it pulls like mad, but with the cheap stuff, it sort of runs out of steam at 3500 and you can't feel it pulling that much. I would say if your just driving around normal, use the cheap stuff.
Tesco fuel, not V power
