    Hello Guy's, Anyone got a stereo wiring diagram for a mk5 golf? I believe it has a new canbus wirirng system and need to figure out which wires are positive from ignition and permanent positive? Thanks in advance....

    Ok here is another idea...I can either have the standard MOnza's face finished in black with red on the inserts?? Or get these and have them done as per my previous post, I guess the Monza's will be more original and much cheaper until I can afford a full set of BBS wheels, lol. What ya say?

    Yes I want to have them on the mk5, painted black on the inside and a red outer lip, these were removed of of a Mercedes details as folows... 17inch 8Jx17h2 et35. A single wheel costs £370?? Wow I guess that is why he is selling them off, lol.

    Yeah they llok good, a guy on ebay has 3 of these, he wants £75, how difficult would it be to source the fourth one, can it be bought new? Also the other issue is that my golf is ET51 and these are ET35...would that mean the wheels will stick out the wings a bit? Thanks

    If it was me then I would fit a new aerial and hide it in the dash , makes life much easier as I beleive you would have to remove the hood lining to replace the standard aerial......cowboy job I know! lol

    Hello All, I am going to be fitting a aftermarket dvd unit into the gti this weekend and was wondering what aerial adapter I would need. I already have the fascia and VW Quadlock to ISO Stereo harness . The dvd unit has the standard din aerial connector but I am not sure about the standard vw aerial connector hence the question about aerial adapter? I think it might be the same as the pic below, can anyone confirm? Thanks Pic of original connectors....

    Looks like you need to start playing with some of the buttons then lol' date=' The rear axal is indpendant instead of a soild rear beem like the mk3. I think they copyed it off the old Civic typeR and the new Civic uses a solid axal like the mk3 making worse round corners than the old one, Abit weird realy. I think that 0-60 time was for the one with the flapy gearchange. Hows the ride comfort?     iv had a blast against my brother be for the remap he got away first and had a small leed on me but up around the 100 mark i started reeling him in (private road oh course ) Best of luck with the mk5 mate! blacks the best!! Does the VR have more torque then?

    No comparison really, however I think the VR comes quite close on ther 1/4 mile but never really had it RR'd so don't really know what it is capable off *-) , but this car is awesome, the interior, features, handling is the best, just sticks to the road. Would love to have it remapped but really can't afford it at the mo, need to sell the vr first. Do miss the noise from the vr though. Three cars for now, well unless somone takes the vr Cheers

    Ok guy's finally got the car, and WOW, what a car? Maybe the best or 2nd best Gti ever? Did not get the DSG as I could not find one for the right price. Will put some pics up soon although it is standard for now.

    There is no way the front wings will go back on without some serious mods to the wings itself? Or maybe he would use some rusty sheet metal as a wing as well? :^)
