    sounds like a misfire ..... have you had the leads off ??? if so are they in the correct order ??!! what condition are the plugs, leads and coil pack in ....

    OBD1 have an idle control valve, its next to the throttle body the big silver valve and the black vac box

    they will prob last about 6months maybe a 1 year before they start knocking .... id say save your money and get a good set ....

    dont leave the hand brake on and if you can push the caliper pistons back and move the pads away from the discs that will help aswell ...

    put a light coat of grey primer on the brake discs to stop the rusting ..... put it up on axle stands that should save the tyres if they go flat or soft .... i put a small heater in my cabby and turned it one once a week for a few hours to help dry it out .....

    vince will do a race logic system for you but think you need traction and launch control fitted ....
