Hi there, my mother has a problem with her mk4 glovebox and owning a mk3 myself i cant fathom how the system is supposed to work... basicly the two prongs which should keep the glovebox closed no longer spring back out into position, meaning that the glovebox wont stay closed. due to the nature of the design i cant seem to get to the mechansim as its within the moulded plastic of the glovebox door:( i have a feeing that the handle may be able to be levered off to give me a better view of the mechanism but i dont want to break it... otherwise it looks like it would need a whole new glovebox doo

difficult to put a value on it m8...in the current climate its all based on what someone is willing to pay which is prolly not a huge amount... but that shouldnt affect your enjoyment of the car... and thats what its all about i agree with moochalargo...post some bigger pictures so we can see it properly;) -
sure sounds like it

wow those tyres are looking a bit on the bald side... or are they street legal slicks???

is the rear of my car too high
Karr-Man replied to Eddy_y's topic in Wheels, Brakes, Suspension and Steering
it looks a little high to me...but not much.. could be the difference between a full or empty fuel tank??? also mines 5 door so a little heavier at the rear -
having shifted one about my garden and fitted it single handed id say...bloody heavy;) i would guestimate about 45-50kg if yr scales go high enough the u just have to get on them while holding the gearbox... then take your body weight off the result...

nah...its too much for me... also be a bitch to be clean and on a sunny day u run a serious risk of blinding ppl who then crash into u....OUCH:/

ok i reckon its either power steering or air conditioning... if u look at my picture the power steering pipe is the one rinning across the front crossmember and curling underneath on the left of the picture... my car doesnt have A/C so im not sure where the piping for that runs...
