its only a couple of mins from me i think ill be setting out at half 9 but not going in the vr6 going in my mates leon cupra -
you dont need to weld it back on it unbolts as the back box wont fit over the axel if you no wat i mean, i wouldnt do it as it would be mad loud

i had this problem after buying some seats of some one :-d but they needed a clean so i had my interior wet vac'ed and while it was damp i had my air con regassed so i bought one of those air con treatment canisters so i set that off and it smells as good as new now

cuz they all hate the fact that the mk3 came with the vr6 from the factory lol -

dont no mate it would as any thing tht helps the flow of gasses will benifit the car so yea, you will still need an air filter mate even if you supercharge you r motor

some people say that the original exhaust manifold is more than up to the job , and because its cast is stronger as well, you can port out your exhaust manifold as the ports due to casting marks are slightly smaller then the ones on the block, i have done this to my spare one but i havent fitted it yet untill i get my modded inlet manifold welded up and ill fit them all together

dont go on milege mate go on noise if they are n there way out you will no becaus eof the noise, carl charges arond 550-600 mark i think mine was more because i had other bits done as well but he no's the vr6 engine inside out alot of people on here have had work done buy him

you can change the colour of the lcd screen but its tricky i think there is a thread on it on here

if you could travel to the midlands you could get carl to do it, his user name on heres kilokilla he has done my chains and clutch as well as a few other peoples on here, he also recently he has done petes mk2 golf swap

i jus ordered some but the only thign i hate about em is they have the temp in F and say unleaded fuel only bllody daft americans luckly iv got an old set out of my gti so im going swap the fuel and temp for those ones

I think phil was thinking about it but never did it in the end. i was mate i even had price quotes but then BANG the offer get accepted on my 1st house so all my funds are going there, i was gutted cuz i wanted the wide steelies so much but id prefer to have a house, id keep an eye out in the for sale section of edition38 as they guy who i sold my steelies to owns wide-wheels and he said he would run em for a bit but then sell them on

my golf vr6 some updates !

well scince im off this week iv been doing a little bit of painting first off was my engine cover i thought i would try and do it in a modern OEM look if you no wat i mean then i removed my audi centercaps as the were a dark grey colour and matched them to the actual alloy wheel colour makes them look much cleaner i also replaced some of the missing door mounlding clips so all the trim is stuck down on the edges, and replaced the tops of both side skirts as i had lost one of the rear ends caps so thought i might as well replace both sides, then the last little bit of the up date i removed -
iv got a powerflow cat back currently fitted to my vr now it has 2 3" squared bores on it and im a bit bored of it now so i have now got a 6x4 oval one now but it was off a mk3 1.8 so it doesnt have the lage scilencer that is jus before the back box , so before i try and fit it , is it worth me ding so ? i no it will be louder as it will have a scilencer missing but will it physicly fit ? and will the performance be affected as i will be loosing a scilencer ?

thing is though lookin at the pics does that mean that the bottom half of bell housing bolts dont line up ?

iv got 15's on mine i have the audio a3 pepperpots but hey are only 6j wude but the standard vr6 alloys are 6.5j so not that much difference realy, i use mine every day and tbh it feels alot better than when i had my 17's on it, mike is saying that they look lost in the mk3s arches he jus hasnt seen one lowered enough lol, i think mine sits just rite as i wound the coilovers rite down but not too much that they catch on speed bumps
