Think you might face a bigger problem then you think matey. The original alarms WERE CAT1 but think Thatchem removed the CAT rating from them. I had the Sigma alarm in my 96 N reg and when i checked i found it wasnt registered as CAT1 anymore. Lucky mine was fooked so i needed a new alarm anyway. So shelling out for a new alarm might be your only option -
I jst got my rears changed and had same issue with ABS light after. VAG com'd it and i need rings replaced and error in my ABS pump :S. Doesnt seem to effect braking though so going to change rings and then leave pump unless anyone has one going cheap?! On a different note, i need a new ECU relay (is that right?) how much will that set me back and where does it belong once i have it?

Mine idles slightly lumpy and blows occasionally. Had a look round the bay yesterday and it seems i have oil leaking out round the rubber gasket.... Is this going to be an expensive job to replace the gasket? Anything else i could do without taking the engine out, that isnt too expensive, while the heads off?

Next best things to tunnels = multi-story/underground car parks! Such as the Tesco one we all met up at for the convo to E38 last year... You cant help but to see how many car alarms you can set off!!!

i havent set any plans yet. Like i said i have £1000 to spare, possibly more if needs be so any option upto that and a lil above will be considered. Gearbox: I'm not sure on rebuild (ifi take that route then what upgrades should i make?) or new box (if new box then what are the options here?) Power wise she is only running 206bhp at the mo but looking at a turbo in a year or so so possibly worthwhile spending a little bit more money now to save money later? I know this is a little of a "how long is a peice of string" thread but A) i want to start changing gears without taking 30mins to get it

Right i know this has been covered in various threads but its all a lil bit confusing for me! I get the feeling it could be time for a new gearbox and clutch so what are my options?! I have around 1k to spend but would rather keep costs as low as possible obviously. Clutch wise, any of these any good? : fleabay Open to all options and ideas so give me ur best guys!

116k and not changed them yet. Fingers crossed that all will be good until i have enough money for new clutch as well!
