  1. Hi all, i was wondering if someone could explain why some people have the MAF located before the supercharger, and why some people have the MAF located after the 'charger. what differences are there?? i was thinking of sourcing a V1 or V2 vortech charger and build up parts based on C2's kit. Cheers, James
  2. i dont think it'll have run in yet??? haha.
  3. I'm really lucky as I'm on a motor trader's policy, and i've got a Mk2 vr6 soon to be on the road, with all the basic N/A trimmings. i also get to drive my dad's Bentley turbo R. I'm 20.
  4. I was wondering what the difference between having the MAF before or after the 'charger, what do you do if you want to run a BOV? do you not need one? the piping looks easier with the MAF after the 'charger.
  5. ideally i'd like a vf supercharger or eip turbo kit etc but at the moment i can't afford it as i'm trying to fund my vr6 conversion. I suppose i'm very lucky anyway, as i turn 20 at midnight.
  6. hey all, does anyone have any experience of the underdrive pulley sets (Neuspeed and Unorthodox Racing). I'm doing a Mk2 Vr6 conversion and i heard somewhere that by using these pulley sets you don't need to dent the chassis leg, any truth?? any benefits? can you use them on a relatively standard engine (Induction kit, 6 branch + de-cat). any comments welcomed. Cheers, James
  7. the vr6 lump can definately take the power increase aslong as it's in good shape. schimmel performance get crazy power by lowering compression with a thicker head gasket still with the standard pistons, and very good reliability, apparently. i think that the series B turbo kit from eip use such low boost that it is the same as a 6psi supercharger, i also think it looks very stealthy as you can't really see the turbo. all you can see from the front is the air intake.
  8. What do people think about this kit? it looks pretty good, and eip parts are top stuff. i think that the kit is aimed at the same power market as the supercharger kits. What would people prefer at this sort of money, a turbo or supercharged vr6??
  9. yeah, but the immobiliser was in the mk3. so where do i solder the red/yellow wire to in my mk2?
  10. hi all, I'm putting an obd1 2.8 vr6 from a mk3. i'm using the 4 stud set up. my query is that the owner of the mk3 vr6 had an imobiliser fitted, that had a wire from the engine harness cut and joined to the imobiliser. the wire is red and yellow, if anyone knows where it goes to it would be a great help. Cheers, James
