  4. so they do, mmmm has anyone got these in at all? is it worth the money or will standard shells put up with the strain? the car wont be a daily drive by the way..
  5. initially 350+ havnt decided on turbo unit yet still sorting base engine out when money or time permits, i understand that OE quality bearings should be good for decent power so long as the arp big end bolts are fitted,. im just thinking i dont want to be opening up the lump to change shells in the future, im a lazy sod! lol.
  6. As the title really, has anyone found a manufacturer of racing spec big end bearings for the 12v? i have all the arp hardware just missing some tougher than a badger in a kevlar vest bearings to slip in there! i want to build my engine to take whatever my right foot can throw at it...lol
  7. some nice photos man, the club stand looked good as always, top effort. :-p
  8. dont bother with induction kits its too cramped and hot under the hood, also most kits utilise an oiled filter that is no good for your air flow mass meter, my girlfiend has put a pipercross panel filter in the origional airbox there is a slightly better sound but the throttle response and mid range has improved comparativly to the £40 outlay. induction kits come into theyre own when your running forced induction where hooge volumes of air, children and small animals are being drawn in 8-| hope this helps me old fruit.
  9. ive just purchased from ebay a 02M box off a 4 motion, the box bolts straight up to my block but the mountings are completely different, there is a conversion plate available but dont know if its for the 6pot box ive yet to offer it all up to the shell yet to see what i need, the box is massive in comparrison to the 5 cogger some chassis leg alterations may be in order???
  10. as me granny used to say "theres nowt like kicickin the sh1t out of ya mates at the local rock night to a bit of pantera!" Fookin Hostile!!!!
  11. similar happend to me but it was the water pump that seized! got as far as i could without cooking the engine but the pump was leaking through the shaft seal and i run out of the wet stuff! doh!! just managed to get it to a mates garage to sort it out,in my sunday best threads too!! not a happy experience to be honest:(
  12. cant wait for it to snow so i can take the missuses rear wheel drive omega out! steer from the rear!!
  13. just soak everythin in wd40 a couple of days before and again before startin work too, and if you know of anyone local who has a pipe flaring tool keep theyre number handy just in case you have to cut the copper pipe off to get the old hoses out!!
