  1. well im runing over 500 bhp on my vr6t syncro but i dont think its gonna last long !!!!!
  2. ive built a golf mk2 4x4 vr6 turbo it started life as a fwd 1.8 8v its a lot of work but it only took 6 months over the winter in my garage. i have used all vr6 running gear cos its stronger than rallye stuff.ill post some pics later !!
  3. new tappets can take a few hundred miles to shut up had my vr rebuilt and the noise from the tappets was loud !! but i was told they could take a while for the oil to do its work and sure enough it did after about 200 miles

  5. no but its easy to mount them ive used the golf mk3 vr6 syncro but some people i know have used the rallye stuff when i find my camera ill show you how i did it
  6. if your planing on big power do not regrind your crank it will weaken it !!! you can get a good second hand one from vince at stealth he had a couple on the shelf when i was down there last

    VR6 Tuning

    got all my pistons, rods and turbo from the US it costs alot less. if you get intouch with desinadubs they are selling manifolds for the vr6 t for £270 ive got one on mine. and also its for a right hand drive car !!
  8. got the brackets from vw bolted gearbox diff and prop on and you can then tell where they need to be put also doing it this way you can get the prop dead straight needed it this way cos of the power im running as in the syncros the prop sits on the piss for some reason
  9. well i never changed my tunnel and ive had know probs, but its a one off exhaust system cos of the turbo !!
  10. to keep the cost down all you need to do is cut the spare wheel well out so that your boot floor is flat have fuel tank in boot, and your sorted !!

  12. yeah but its all vr6 syncro parts which are a lot stronger than the normal syncro and rallye stuff !!! i know it will break and when it does ill put something different on it, but untill then fingers crossed !!!!
  13. it should be about 650bhp at the crank the engine has had a total rebuild and is rated for 745bhp !! got all the stuff from the US and the guy i got all the pistons, rods etc... has the same set up and is runing 800 bhp. Im hoping to go to gti fest should be fully run in by then so i want to get some track action in !!forgot to say its vr6T syncro will post some photos when i find my camera

  15. anyone know how fast a vrs gear box will go to ? ive got a 3.1 vr6 turbo with nos in a mk2 golf runing around 550 bhb people are saying that ill only get 170 mph out of it does anyone know ?
  16. im running a wet system by wizz of nos i was runing 150 bhp with a controller it is direct port in jection started off with 25 bhp but it is very addictive!!!!!! if you do it right your engine wont blow up !! now its got a turbo and the nos
  17. ive converted my mk2 vr6 to 4wd got all the bits from germany but it did help with my bitch being german. wasnt to much of a hasel but i done the work myself paying someone would cost shit loads good luck mate

  22. hi can anyone help ive got a vr6 golf mk2 and want to know if the golf mk4 vr6 4 motion has the same fuse box as the mk3 vr6, because ive put an audi tt dash in and want to use mk4 clocks
