  1. hall sender is below the dizzy i think not sure new to the VR game how did you check for the spark on the leads???

  3. hmmm so the car rototes when u turn the key...try fiddle with the fule pump relay....check for spar too....if no joy may have to vag com it
  4. check your relays mine did the same and it turned out to be the ecu relay (could be fuel pump relay) do a fourm search for the number i think ECUI=109 hope this helps
  5. you wont have to cut holes just punch out the blanks, all the bolt on points for the streering coloum and pedal box are there....i have a rallye which is now RHD with carrado dash.....helped a mate convert his 3dr jetta to rignt hand drive. just make sure you got all the parts tho...steering rack, coloum, dash you can leave the fuse box where it is but to get a neat job id change the lot, get a sparky to do the wires so you dnt get hassle.
  6. it must be heat soak...i get the same problem its all sweet when cold but soon as the car is warm it runs like a dog (SC) gonna have to save the pennies for water injection
  7. im kinda in a panic dose the take off drive use the same oil as the gearbox? or are the two seperate ....as in loss in take off drive affect box?
  8. hi all me again with yet another dilema......has ne one got a vr6 syncro???....i have a vr6 rallye and on the way home i fell a vibration uder acceleration the loads of smoke ...pulled over to find the doughnut that connects the prop to the take of drive flange has split bending the flange on the take of drive.... how hard is it to take this takeoffdrive?.....is there diffrence with the vw ralley and mk3 vr syncro take of drive unit????

  10. mighty i think u have seen the pic of my bay......in first gear take of i get loadz of unburnt fuel when i floor it.....how can i rectify this?

  12. lol but if they stick to far out the cops will have a meal day with you i get it all the time...my rallye has a carrado subframe n driveshafts so the wheels sit nicly in the flared arches but they look like they stick out.....just be carefull.....remeber wrong offset can also cause premature bearing wear
  13. Sdnt be a prob......aint got a mk3 but i can say the higher the ofset figure the more the wheel sticks out

  16. i think ur correct i checked mine it has no ir con and the third hole along has no pins.....

The diff just transfers the power to the wheels.... if you get a uprated diff you will notice....(just imagine at the lights you put your foot down the power dose not go equally to the driven wheels its thrown back and forth between the two) on an uprated diff this is more pronounced...dnt quote me on this its wot i understand from reading articles.... the clonkin may well be diff....or planetary bearings....just get a reconitem it will save you hassel n you'l get a waranty.....try VW SANDBURNS.....they usually come up trumps with quality used part and resonably priced to......

  19. im trying to get the pic of this all i have is a blown tech drawin from vw just the standard ETKA system they use
  20. hmmm this will only happen while the engine takes time to reach the temp required.... i am going to try and do something cleaver....will try and locate the thermostat in line so easier to change (summer/winter)....... ? the themostat seems to be at the end of the bottom hose not the top one as some threads seem to indicate.....has ne one got a picture of this are...mines ODB1 dizzy not coil.....
  21. ohhh sound i have had problems trying to get chip for the current set up i have....ODB1 and im running a vortech s/c using the z engineering fitting kit....but i want to get around to sort the ecu out before the major power hike i plan to do sum time soon.....wot you guys reckon to DTA managment.....has neone got DTA on a S/C application
  22. how bout just getting a motor sport item? my rallye is running a mk3 syncro box buitl by gemini...give them a try a bit pricey but worth it i reckon...u dnt wana be picking up pieces of your tranny....did that to often in my valver
  23. cheers what are people views on removing the thermostat tottaly? i know the car will take longer to warm up but that shudnt be a problem.....i did it on my valver and it ran trouble free....i reckon this should aid running the car a bit cooler due to the supercgharger....
  24. is it worth doin this conversion or shall i just get an after market DTA managment??????
