Cheers peeps, I'll try and get some better pics over the weekend, the centres are silver, so they kinda match the wheels on a black and silver theme. Thinking of some Just Matz black mats with silver edging?

96 VR6 MAF and Cam Position Sensor? VAGCOM
Kaz replied to ob1's topic in Engine Maintenance and Problems
Camshaft sensor was gone on mine when I got it, replaced it with a second hand one from a breakers I know and it's been fine ever since. Makes the car drive odd though, no low down grunt. The MAF you can get from GSF on a part ex, about £80 for an OE Bosch one. -
I thought I'd post a couple of pics of my new interior, the seats are from an Octavia vRS, which are the same fitment as a mk4, the door cards are from a black Colour Concept and I think it works really well. Awesome pics, I went on safari in Kenya in June - I must post up some pics!

Sorry to hear about the accident, that's some impact! Hope you get better soon.

I'm afraid I started of with Fiesta's! I had a 1.1 mk2 Fiesta when I passed Then a 1.0 mk3 Fiesta Part ex'd that for a 1.4 Zetec mk4, which I kept for 5 years, stuck a 1.7 Puma engine in it once I'd had it a few years, did loads to it, inc a re-spray. Then I got my mk1 Golf Swallowtail, which I later sold back to it's last owner before me. Sold the mk4 Fez and bought my VR. Not a lot of cars for ten years of driving! However my partner has had a mk2 Golf for the last 6 years (now a BAM'd 1.8T, 280BHP) and a mk4 GT TDI for 3 years. So have been into dubs for years.

Cheers guys! The back can come down another 10mm, tempted but I do carry 4 people occasionally. Another reason for removing the sound deadening was it was filthy!

114k, but on the second engine, the first one died due to neglect though, previous owners of course. Current engine has apparently done 50k, runs sweet as a nut!

I was tempted by the TT wheels myself, they look good. Cheers for the comments guys!

Yep, 17's. Genuine Audi ones, made by Ronal. eBay bargain, I love auction steeler! However the tyres weren't cheap!

I fitted new wheels last week, Audi S3 Avus alloys with Eagle F1 tyres, I'm quite chuffed with them so I thought I'd stick up some pictures I also cleaned under the bonnet and gave the manifold a bit of a polish.

Looks good, I like the overall look and the colours. Just one or two points though - why is it so thin? I can appreciate that not everybody has stupidly big monitors, but even on my 14" laptop screen it doesn't fill the screen. It would be easier to read, and larger pictures wouldn't overspill the page. Secondly, if someone posts pictures that are bigger than the width of the forum, can we have something put in place to automatically re-size the images so you can click on them to get it in full res (like Edition 38 now has)? I've just had a moderator re-size my images to fit the page and th

Last polish before re-spray, my black VR6
Kaz replied to Kaz's topic in Members Rides and Event Photos
I spent yesterday cleaning under the bonnet, it was pretty clean already as I did it quite thoroughly when we replaced the engine - but that was months ago now. I also removed the under bonnet sound deadening, I can't believe how shiney it is under there. Needs a proper polish, the inlet manifold finishing and the black plastic dressing. No point doing this yet as I expect the bidy shop will make a mess.. Moderator Edit to Resize Pictures Moderator edit by: TheGoth
