s/h isnt everything. just make sure your not payin for it if it isnt with the car. alot of people do the sirvice them selves these days. like a friend of mine. hes had the car bout 4 years now done it all himself, so no stamps but i know you couldnt fined a better 1. mines got 138000miles, no history, some invoices, and has just done 185bhp on the r/r. and runs better than any other iv driven (and that 3or 4) but then i only payed

what do you mean by faster? in a straight line, round a track, through the gears, top speed, bhp. but then all that might not matter if theres a tw*t behined the wheel.

i dont rate the k&n filters. iv got a pipercross on mine. i dont think it will inprove bhp buy it will pick up alot quicker !amazed -
my car is only running 5 cylinders. after lookin at the leads i think that i have found the afending lead, but im not sure. i unpluged it (it came out really easy. im not sure if this is right coz iv never had to take them out b4) had a look at it. looks fine. no open wire. no damage. but it wont go back in properly. the plastic tool that you use is a bit fiddlely is there a special way of usin it for the best effect. !amazed

4get what the brochure tells you. they carnt tell you your car is so fast when yours mayb a bit slower than that. they need to cover ther own arses, by telling you the lower of an average. so it could be close. but its not sumut that i would take as red !amazed

iv got the wrong chip off the net. i needed chip 021 906 256. its my fault didnt read it propley. anyway i havent got the chip yet, i need 2 tell the guy which 1 i want (no refunds). so i thought i would see if any of you would like it instead. iv got a choice of 021 906 258a, 021 906 258af, 021 906 258b, or 021 906 258c. if any of your ecu's match any of these codes and you have a spare

i had a lucky escape last nite. i was out at about 2.30am, it was dead, came to a set of traffic lights on red, no1 around, slowed down, i could see all the junctions, it was clear so i went. got to about 60mph. looked in the mirror and there were blue flashin lights. and i thought i was fooked. pulled over got out ready for the worst. "you kno why you've bin pulled, don't you" at this point i notice the it was a astra van and not a traffic cop ( so he couldnt tell me i was goin too fast coz he couldnt prove it). so i knew that it wasnt my speed. it was just the red light, and let me off with

go with the vento fe. it will make it look like another incarnation of the g60. i have just off loaded my vento, it was the same colour as my golf, and i was guna swap the fe round, but even tho it would of looked great, i think it would of been hard to get rid of the vento with a golf fe !amazed -

who on here has the highest power'd standard vr? a mate of mine has a calibra v6, standard they have 170bhp. but his has bin r/r at 180bhp (his is standard) it also has 115,000 on the clock. so that got me thinkin, a standard vr6 2.8 is ment to have 174bhp, but that will be on average, but it might not be an average, it may be the lowest bhp that the vw boys registerd when makin the engine. so i was just wounderin what any1 else had to say. !amazed ps god i talk sh*t sometimes !amazed

What plate is your VR and what is your mileage?

u shouldn't worry about mileage. a mate of mine has a vr, its gorgeous, 72k on an m reg, koni's, tt alloys and lots mur. but he never drives it. he keeps it in his back yard coverd up, and brings it out 2 or 3 times a month, and even then he never takes it over 3000rpm. if you ask me he dosen't deserve it, it should go to a driver who will look after it but wont be scared to push it to the limit. !amazed the vr lump is a rare engine. loads of power, and even mur relyability. its the only engine i know of (that jo public can aford) that can go to the moon and back 4 times over runin 300bhp+ wit
