AntWhiting replied to vr6newcomer's topic in Wheels, Brakes, Suspension and Steering
i bought some 205/40/17 Toyo T1R Proxes for £224 delivered from a company called camskill performance, dunno their address but just google them. Tyres arrived the day after I ordered from them. -

Owned my VR for just over a year now, has been the best vehicle I have ever owned and driven. But unfortunatly on the A338 North Spur Road coming out of Bournemouth my car decided that she wanted to aquaplane, spin around a few times and say good morning to a couple of trees. She managed to take down a smaller tree but then stopped when she hit a bigger one. I will have some pictures when I see the vehicle at the garage it has been taken to but its surely going to be a write off. I was so knackered after the crash I didnt take time to see the damage apart from the boot the shape of a 'V' I w

AntWhiting replied to malcolm's topic in Engine Maintenance and Problems
if im not pushing the engine then somewhere between 75-85'C, if im pushing the engine that little bit more 85-100'C. I do have a coolant problem though! -
Awesome do them for £225 but I have seen them from an American Store for $169 and buying them from Neuspeed online is £300. thats why I would prefer to get them from the US!!!

i believe your right mate, they are the underdrive pulleys. Im still getting to grips with the workings of the engine!!! I have been looking to extract more power without going the Schrick route just yet and thought I might get these pulleys. Any other info or help on these pulleys?
-
I was looking at replacing my exsisting pulleys for a set of these Neuspeed Power Pulleys from Awesome GTi store. I know where they go and can fit them myself but has anyone or does anyone know of someone who has had these fitted to their VR? It also states on the Neuspeed site that they will give a 5BHP increase at the wheels. they are a bit pricey at £225 but at the moment im trying to get them shipped over from America as they are dirt cheap! Any info or help is greatly appreciated

if you fit the manifold with a de-cat pipe, you could be looking at around 25-35BHP increase. at a guess off course. its a good mod if your not bothered at taking them off for the MOT
-
i have spoken to couple of companys and they advise me that the Ashely 6-2-1 manifold will only fit if you have a de-cat pipe, that put me off as i was looking for one myself. I have spoken to Stealth Racing and they told me that you can still have a cat but it probably would need some welding to the manifold to get it to fir and work properly! its worth giving them a call as they can go through what exactly needs to be done.

Thanks for all your help. ive been on the TSR site today and sent them a quick email for a price.

ive got FK high sport coilovers on my VR and i must say that the ride is more comfortable than on standard suspension but they just dont stiffen up the ride as much as i would of liked. i do have a strut brace on the way to stiffen up the chassis and im also thinking about a rear brace. ive heard that the eibach range work well with the whole Mk3 range. i just love the versatility of having adjustable suspension as i can lower it as far as it will go if im at a show and then raise it to a suitable level when im driving normally
-
Thanks for that, would you know who can supply one as I'm more caple of fitting it myself to save labour costs? I was also looking into getting my engine chipped and to get some head work done by AMD, any companies you could recommend for work like this? thanks for your help

Hi, I was looking to fit a performance exhaust manifold to my VR6, can anyone recommend one? Does anyone know what the increase in power and benefits are?? cheers folks
