  1. 3M manufacture a finishing material called "Finesse-it" designed for use by machine or hand to remove haze or swirls. Or as an alternative Farécla G10 extra fine grade super finishing liquid compound suitable for 2 pack, Removes swirl marks and smears particularly on dark colours. My mates a valeter :) This stuff is hard to get hold of and ive never bought it myself (but im going to) but ive seen it being used and it does the trick!!! try this site: http://www.d-m-s.co.uk/products02.html

  2. I recently had a Nissan Almera which i got rid of. After driving a VR6 for thirty seconds - i had to have another - really nice and smooth to drive, make sure you get the right car- getting a shonky one will cost you lots of money and cause loads of heartache!!! You get what you pay for as they say :-) IMO Try and go for a post '96 car if you can afford it. Seen an 96 N plate 3dr bright red 75k on the clock, completely standard with full S/H go for 3200 quid recently. It looked mint! I wanted it badly but couldnt sell mine in time- it went after 2 days of being on sale. Anyone here buy that car????

  3. could be your coil pack. Its quite a common fault. Sounds silly, but have the plugs been changed?, if yes then it probably is the coil pack. I had to have mine changed on my old VR6- it started missing slightly, low down the rev range. Expensive to replace- around 250 quid from VW. You should be able to get the ignition pack checked though, to make sure it is faulty before paying out all that money!!!

  4. shrick are a manufacturer for various tuning parts manifolds cams etc etc. They do a rather lovely bespoke inlet manifold for the VR6- which a few of the very luck members on this site own. Can boost BHP and torque by about 10 a piece so im told. Any owners got a tale?

  5. What about a Bugatti Veyron, may as well go stratospherically out of my budget ;) 1000 BHP and some stupidly fast 0 - 100mph times. Anyone seen any clips?? or know of any mpegs floating around? Im thinking it'll make dialynx's Audi Quattro look like a bus!! (after they suss out what to do with brakes and handling ;)) Out of the Audi and the Monaro- that 6 litre jobs got to be more of a grin than the Audi - especially with RWD, just a shame it feels like a 2 door Vauxhall Omega inside!

  6. Cheers for the comments guys. The car already had it when i bought it so i cant say what the before/after difference was like. I can say that it feels very different to my old VR (which only had a SS exhaust + 57i kit. This seems to have less torque low down but feels rapid higher up the rev range, when keeping it on the boil it seems to feel much more potent. Im probably going to take it to the rolling road day to find out how well (or how bad!) ;) its running.
