-

-
Wont get it in Motorworld then!
-
These were C&R i think, with the shield and wouldnt fit into the hole i was well pissed after all the effort- serve me right for being a cheapskate and trying to get around having to pay for my car to go to the bodyshop ! lol I tried removing the handle after removing the retaining screw but it wasnt having any of it! Had visions of me buckling my door - or kicking it
-
Not another oil post - arrrgghhhhhh!!!! Synta gold was used for all VR6's at my local VW franchise (when they were available new) Probably kinder to use a semi like synta silver nowadays.

Get a Haynes manual. I was going to fit armour door plates to temporarily disguise my tampered door skin. Spent feckin ages trying to figure out how to remove the handle without removing the door card, bought the manual and ended up taking the door card off and got the handle off only to realise that the door plates i had, required me to file away at my door so they would fit!! lol There was no way i was doing that so back the door trims went.....

Very interested m8! Is the wiper arm just a std sweep or does it do the funky Mercedes style movement to reach corners of the windscreen?
-
true, in desperado, when quentin tarantino tells the joke about the guy pissing on the bar- classic!

hehe, dont worry mate- im sure ive just been whooped by NickG123. Think more than a short shifter is needed
-
Charlie dont surf boy! & I love that smell - do you know what that is - its the smell of victory. Dennis Hopper in Apocalypse Now- great film
-
Thats what ive done- only drilled holes in front and drivers side of the airbox to hopefully suck up less hot air. Get induction noise too! oh and removed the funnel type noise suppressor from the front of the box too.
-
Shite - due to race you too! oh well there goes my bet. Beat Seadog though! Only cos his car was in the garage and couldnt race! lol
-
Cool im up for it! See you all there
-
thanks for the info guys!

if it was a yes (ans was an easy fit) which sounds unlikely i wouldve put a decent bid in on - inlet manifold and throttle body for 3.0 4motion just went for 7 quid!!!
-
I was told by a local VW/Audi garage who race VR6's that fitting a mk4 V6 Golf inlet manifold and throttlebody would increase torque and power. Anyone else heard this or tried this?

All signed up m8 - BRING IT ON!
-
think they look tacky. seen one that was quit nice but it was a lot more subtle and extended the bonnet lip down over the lamps to make the lamps look mk 4 style
-
those mk4 golf PD150's are quick, and have got loads of torque!!! They do feel quick cos it all happens low down - unexciting noise though
-
Thats a lovely my2 valver m8- in gun metal grey too yum yum. I prefer that colour to oak green...Would love something like that as a daily drive!!!
-
both look really tidy- like the colour on the mk2 as well
-
whoa- lucky sod! well impressed and respect due- i wouldnt no where to start with a conversion like that!
-
