all done all blue and working all i need now is some more money to buy a few more bits
  2. reasons not to use dot 5, conclusive really.... read on, Silicone DOT 5 is not compatible with the ABS hydraulic control unit because it doesn't lubricate the ABS pump like glycol based fluid. Silicone is slightly more compressible than glycol fluid. It has a higher wet boiling point because it doesn't absorb moisture like glycol fluid. This lack of moisture absorption causes problems when water gets in the brake system. Instead of mixing with the brake fluid (so it can be flushed out easily), the moisture gets trapped at low points in the system and causes rust.

  4. its not gonna be permanent, the one in the front will be, but as said, it will be for shows, it will hide the bit of my install i really havent finished. Just something to look at really. Once i go home take it back out, untill the next show
  5. After you have the cluster bare to where you can physically touch the needles, grab two small flat head screwdrivers. wedge the screwdrivers under the round base of the needle (one at 3 o clock and the other at 9 o clock) and VERY CAREFULLY push down on the screwdrivers, wedging the needles out. Make sure that you apply the same force to both sides or you will pull out the spring.

  21. is it just a pressure fit?? how did u make sure that yours are properly calibrated?? if i let the neddle drop down as far as it goes till it stops, is that true 0 mph?? they look the boy btw
  22. no they just look like mrk4 dials. Olly m8ty, you have drop down dials, my new dials start at 0, not 10 as my orriginal do. How do i get the needle off and reset them so that they start at 0. If i put the needle over the stop needle the distance it drops down is about the same distance from 10-20. So I was thinking about letting the needle drop right down, pulling it off and puttin it back on over the otherside of the needle stop. So it would be reading 0. (or ten on my orriginal dials)
