  3. I thought you could get an adaptor to convert an obd2 inlet manifold to run an obd1 throttle body. cant find it. anybody know where to aquire one cheers Pete
  4. as titled, if you are what size discs are you useing and what wheel sizes, do you know if a 330 dsc would work? and what carrieres to use? LCR ones to small? any info would be good thanks pete

  6. I'm getting a bit more go so will be needing some better stoppin . reading through all the threads etc there seems to be lots of opsions for up rateing golf vr6 front brakes. I always run 17" wheels, so whats the best ,easyest,cheapest way to do this? porsche,cupra s, tt ,bromo? I have no experiance with brakes,what's involved?what will fit? so any help would be good cheers Pete

  8. lol, just bought the parts from these people, its not a cheap oppsion to get the rebuild done in the states.insured postage is £££
  9. well I spose I should start at the beginning.... april 07 my 110k vr6 engine starts smoking, good excuse to start my engine bay and finish the car I think, (for those that dont know me my golf is a full on show car not a daily, pic at bottom) I smooth out the bay and sorce a used 2.9 engine from this site (first mistake, my bad, seller was a noob and not back since) so i rebuild the top end new chains etc get everthing chromed that can be chromed bolt on my new charger and take it for mapping,(second mistake, dont bolt a charger to a new engine, make sure the engine is good first) now jan 08.
  10. has anyone ever had there charger re build, recondisioned, ie new bearings and seals, if so, who does this in the UK or is something you did yourself? any info would be appreciated cheers. Pete

  13. its quite a major drip, like a cd size puddle after 10 mins running at temp, this is after the bottom end being re-built,new oil pump, bearings etc
  14. anyone come across this problem before? is it somthing to with vacum pipe off rocker cover or is my charger buggard hope you can help Pete
  15. good luck, I got a simular problem, sounds like intermediate shaft bearings failing leading to drop in oil pressure???? how did you get on? where on earth do you find these shaft bearings?? as vw dont seem to do them, or have you got a part number for these please??? help HELP

  19. Recently rebuilt my vr engine and it seems the timing is out by one tooth, can this be fixed by just removing the tensionr and flipping the chain round on notch or is it a gear box of job?? any help mucho thanky Pete
