  1. When in the year are you going? maybe we should have a proper chat about this some time?
  2. Hopefully later on this year we will be looking at 4mo and R32 Kits... :-d We have already done some work here but we put it on hold as we decided VR6 kits was more of a priority, as I don't own neither of the above cars. Big big power to come from 24V's :-d
  3. If you are doing the chains make sure a Helix or similar clutch goes in at the same time.. That way it's ready for turbo.... It will save a bit of expense later on
  4. We put a lot of thought into our turbo choice mainly because of the VR transmissions we think it will be fine with stage 1. (360bhp) Mechanical sympathy goes a heck of a long way though, plenty of VR's out there running 400bhp + with OEM boxes
  5. Can't say fairer than that guys. He's been my 'Uncle Vince' for 10 years now and kept me sane!! :-) Fook hasn't that 10 yrs flown by? I think we should start dropping the uncle stuff now... suddenly I'm feeling old and I'm only 39 yrs and about 1370 days old :-*
  6. Take a look at these dyno plots' date=' it might help you make up your mind? Stealth Turbo 9psi vs Rotrex 18psi
  7. Not really thought about this but I suppose it is possible....? Best to call me to discuss requirements Vince Be really usueful if you are willing to do this as i've (and i'm sure many people on here also at various stages with theirs) have slowly been aquiring parts over the last 12 months as and when i've had spare cash and still have a few missing bits (damn this house buying lark!) OK guys tell you what.... if you guys choose to run my software when you get your cars up and running then I will hepl out where I can, parts, advice, agony aunt (uncle) etc.. How about that?

  11. Hi Guys Thanks to all who attended the RR shoot-out last Sunday, was a good day and a good turnout. First of all on the Subject of intake temps, VR6 engines are very heat sensitive and can loose up to 10bhp between a cool run on the rollers and a hot run. The intake temp figures we put in to our RR software for horsepower correction are as follows.. Start temp set at ambient and end temp about 3-5 degrees higher, this takes into account the intake air temp rise during the power run. Rolling road testing is not carried out in a totally controlled situation to achieve 100% accurate figures, clo
  12. Hi Guy's The Schrick catalogue suggests that uprated springs with the 264 cams are reccomended and essential on the 268's.. However we fitted many VR6's with 268's with the uprated springs and probably just as many with the stock VW springs. We can't tell the difference in performance, never broken a spring and never experienced valve bounce. We have also seen a few VR6's that have had cams fitted at AMD and other tuning shops left with the stock springs, no problems on those either.. Replacing valve springs without removing the head is possible but it needs to be done carefully. I would sugge
  13. That's me, and I got one in stock, call me and I'll find out a price. Vince
