    I know this might sound silly but have you checked that nothing is jammed under there.....ive had something has get stuck in the runner, just small enough to cause a problem, I understand you are talking about the up and down movement of the seat but the same could apply...get some one to move the seat up and down while looking under there as you might be able to see where its
