  4. I appreciate the amount of work you have put into it, but to be honest, its not really my thing.
  5. Mine uses none at all. I run Mobil 1 semi - synthetic, and have the oil changed every 6 months whether it needs it or not. My Mk2 GTI uses about half a litre every 10k miles! It has 135K on it! Good eh?!!

  8. Ramair here too. Got in on ebay for 50 sheets!
  9. Mine had a proper custom reamp, with the emphasis being put on a higher torque figure. Now produces 192bhp/195ft-lb. I've got a Ramair/Superspint full system on mine, and I'm quite impressed. Makes a nice sound when you are pootling around under 3k, with a nice burble...when yu get the boot down, people start getting frightened and get out of your way!! !amazed
  10. It's a different manifold which increases low range torque by approximately 10-15lb/ft. Very good piece of kit, made by Schrick.

  14. Aye, Pat. You can disconnect the EGR to the throttle body, which is supposed to be a good mod. Still thinking though.....

  17. I prefer the Morrette one's myself, as the lights look bigger and give the car less of a gawky look. If you know what I mean......
  18. The Club is fairly active, just not as much as CGTI.
  19. VW mapped the VR (2.8) that well, 200bhp is about the maximum you are going to get on OBD2. This is fact. (Exhaust, and filter will not get you a lot (if any) higher than this. I'd like to see a list of RR results for remapped OBD 2's to see if anyone has actually got a true 200bhp+ Should all join ClubVR6, which I used to be in, then we could do it!!
  20. I'm not be funny, but I'm still not having it.... It's been mapped and its had a head job and cams, what management are you running? You are very close to s/c power with 230bhp+, and as its been well documented, you have to be doing something special to get 230bhp+. Now is you said you had a VGI, things may look a little different.... Is the idle quite rough?
