I guess your applying the products by hand, If you cant wait for delivery i would try the Merguiars quick clay first then follow up with the merguiars 3 stage crystal system.

Have a look also on here for some great tips when it comes to cleaning cars.

yeh it will be done by hand. Halfords should stock that yeh? il probably give it a try to be honest because seeing some of the nice shiney examples on here makes me want to have mine the same :-p

Got in touch with a guy that jezmoz recommended so il see what he says too, but i am aswell trying anything to see if it makes a difference.

Cheers mate

Try auto glym super resin followed by the high gloss worked wonders on mine, what ever you use tho make sure you use a microfibre cloth (99p Tesco) cos they really help cut through the polish and wont leave and swirls or haze! I get all my stuff from my local euro car parts they are on average £2 a bottle cheaper than Halfords!

cheers mate. I ordered some products from www.polishedbliss.co.uk (brill site and very helpful staff), i spent 2 and half hrs last night polishing it and finishing it off with some spray.

The stuff i bought is called Jeffs. Has any one else used this? if not i highly recommend it. ;)

Thanks for your help guys.

There's a lot of really good polishes, waxes and sealants available these days for not massive amounts. Jeffs I have heard of but it's fairly new to the UK I think - German I think? Polished Bliss are a good supplier though, nice to deal with very helpful.

I can definately recommend using clay on your car, it's amazing how much crud you will drag out of your paintwork.

Just use a non abrasive one (such as quick clay) for removing embedded crud without risk of damaging your paintwork. (There are some bodyshop intensive ones that aren't suitable for "normal" use).

Or even use white tack, you may find it's exactly the same polybutyl product as used for the non abrasive clay's. Quick type clay's are just a base polybutyl product, as with all these things the car care company's don't make it themselves, they buy it on from a manufacturer.
