thegoth 5
Hi,There's always an on-going debate as to when to have the timing chains/tensioners changed.I have a piece to a difinative answer.... < 156K miles...and here's the proof. The running plate from one of my tensioners. Not sure which one *-) , Kilokilla found it at the very top, practically in with the cams! I guess I'll have more pictures after he has finished and I've got all the bits (of bits) back.TGP.s. It wasn't that noisey. I can only imagine it had been run through the bucket of marbles stage!

IbiVR 0
Got that just in time then! 156k? I'd have done them twice by then.....Tom.
kilokilla 0
It had obviously been like that a while aswell because the rail that part sat on has some fair old grooves in it aswell tbh i cant believe it was still running as well and as quiet as it was.
thegoth 5
I feel so guilty :$ In my defence only 7K of the miles are mine. It was somebody else who let the rot set in.My mind is so at peace now.TGI'll keep the bits as show exhibits (h)
