Craig 0
I am going to look at another VR6 this evening. The seller has said that the ABS light is currently illuminated and that this only happened after he changed the discs/pads.Not really being "in the know" I am wondering how true this might be. So, for those more experienced, could that kind of work have caused the symptom and if so, how does one restore normal operation?TIA.
girlvr6 0
Its probably the ABS sensor that has broken, maybe happened when the person did the brakes, not being very careful. I have the same problem with my rear right side sensor, costs can vary but if it is just a sensor its not too expensive (should be under £100 for the sensor), however you never know if it is something more serious. (@) I do know that VR6's suffer from this problem and thats what it is 95% of the time.
richievr 1
when i changed my front discs and pads i left the wire for the sensor slightly looser than it should have been.....thus causing it to rub on the wheel..after about 3 miles(!!!) it wore through totally and hence put the light on...he could have done this too??? Craig 0
Thanks for the replies. Sensors from GSF are not that expensive, which is a relief!
