Rich_SE 0 Posted March 6, 2006 Report Share Posted March 6, 2006 just had my car dyoned and it is running really rich. so i go and check my fuel bar pressure regulator and it is a 4 bar pressure regulator. my engine is a 1995 obd1 i know corrado's are 4 bar and i allways thought golfs were 3 bar? so wot bar should a 1995 golf be? is 4 bar correct?thanx Link to post Share on other sites

vr6turbo 27 Posted March 6, 2006 Report Share Posted March 6, 2006 o2 sensor? the ecu should keep the mixture correct even if you are using a 4 bar FPR.the 4 bar fpr will affect response not how rich the car is running, injector duration will be decreased by the ecuif the o2 sensor is not working correctly the ecu will take over and run the car rich to avoid lean conditions ie engine damageusing data from the intake temp sensor, MAF and throttle position sensor, thats the normal cause of runnung rich.vag com should pick up a faulty o2 sensor Link to post Share on other sites
