cadguy77 0
but wouldn't that cut all the electrics in the car (i.e. headlights etc)?
purple highline monster 0
maybe not, it would affect the easiest route first if its only just touching, lose the earth and all that, maybe not for long enough to affect anything else?
VR6Lee 1
So far so good fingers crossed...... 8)
purple highline monster 0
did you take the cover off? if it does it again check your earths, unless you had the dash out recently? i doubt anything would come lose behind there?
VR6Lee 1
Fucking gone and done it again last night !mistrust Yeah Nick I've taken off the cover I'm wondering about if its the battery is weakor some thing to do with the ignition I put the key in the ignition, turn it then a clicking noise is made the dash goes on & off in a split second!dodge then she starts. Didn't do it this morning......Made sure every thing was turned off when I started her up.
kilokilla 0
Defo sounds like a loose wire mate also ignition module i.e starter switch on back of ignition can cause this prob and i had 1 vr that had a fault in red and yellow wire that goes to ecu just up in bulkhead by ecu that caused this problem all lights and that still worked but wire was earthing out now and again and shutting car down but i would check all alarm and immobiliser wires around ignition before looking elsewhere as this is generally culprit for this sort of behaviour. purple highline monster 0
in my vr`s history mine had a new ignition barrel and module as it was worn, symptom of this was airbag light and ignition not returning correctly every time? could be your ignition barrel its self?? john1980 0
HIDo you have a lot of keys on your key ring. If you do then take them off as this will cause wear and then drops out abit Hope this helps
