DOH! !dodge I forgot to tell ya wot

happened last night and this morning

driving from and to work.

My dash cut out ! :|

The speed and rev counter all dropped while the

car was in motion and the clock went back to zero.......Didn't effect the VR's performance.

Any Ideas...... :?

did it happen while cornering? might just be a loose connection

I have ratteled my head AHHHHH !dodge

I did put on the chrome battery cover when I went to the Jct29 meet on Sunday so I have taken it off now so when I leave at 5:30 I'll find out if it was that.

But answering ya question no, I was cruising at 50mph 7:10am this morning straight road through Epping Forest.

Last night straight road again through Epping Forest. :? :? :? :?

Fucking gone and done it again last night !mistrust

Yeah Nick I've taken off the cover

I'm wondering about if its the battery is weak

or some thing to do with the ignition B)

I put the key in the ignition,

turn it then a clicking noise is

made the dash goes on & off in a split second

!dodge then she starts.

Didn't do it this morning......

Made sure every thing was

turned off when I started her up.

Defo sounds like a loose wire mate also ignition module i.e starter switch on back of ignition can cause this prob and i had 1 vr that had a fault in red and yellow wire that goes to ecu just up in bulkhead by ecu that caused this problem all lights and that still worked but wire was earthing out now and again and shutting car down but i would check all alarm and immobiliser wires around ignition before looking elsewhere as this is generally culprit for this sort of behaviour.

  • 3 weeks later...

Well, bit by bit,

I'm now wondering if its the alternator :?

It happens the heated seats are on, lights are full beam, radio is blasting, the heater is blasting = drains the power.

Dosen't do it now in the mornings as its light.

Alternator. Wot do ya think?
