jezmoz 0
My car literally feels like it's going to fall apart when i pass 80mph , is it the wheels that need balancing????
bazz780 0
i cant think of anything else it could be, balancing is the biggest cause of steering wheel vibration at high speeds oh... and a buckled alloy wheel or eneven air pressures in 4 tyres (should be about 30 all round)start with checking the air pressures in the tyres as this is cheapest, if not the balance the wheels at a tyre place and if the wheel is buckled they will tell you thisgood luck
purple highline monster 0
sometimes the stick on type wheel weights can come off, enough to make the symptoms you describe, just get your front wheels checked & re balanced if needed
antera309 3
Most likely one or more wheels need balancing or one of your wheels has been deformed by a kerb impact ("square wheel" syndrome). Get 'em checked out at a tyre place.
jezmoz 0
thanks i'll get them looked at

matth76 1
I had exactly the same problem where the steering wheel and car vibrated going over 80 mph. Really had me worried. I had my wheels balanced and tracking done for

vr6 g3 0
Your tyre pressures should be 38 front and i think 35 rear, It tells you inside the fuel cap
francisjonno 2
As everyone else has said get your wheel balanced. If that doesn't work get the suspension geometry checked, if its out by a long way it can have the same effect.(fuel caps says 2.6bar front, 2.4bar rear - not sure what this is in PSI)
kilokilla 0
i had this problem on a vr6 once that i had just bought and it turned out to be all the engine mounts were knackered at slow speeds upto 50 it was fine but has you went faster it got worse it could just be wheels but if you have them done and its still as bad i would look at mounts oh and it felt like car was going to vibrate to pieces scariest vr i ever drove changed mounts and was perfect.
