Jezza 0
i would quite like to have the rear flushed but leave the lip spoiler on the boot. take the rear wiper off and the rear badge. Also for the bumpers, i would quite like to have the lips taken out of the front and rear wiper. Trouble is, if i was to change the bumpers or anything completely, it would have to be something so special that i thought it was sooo good you couldnt miss it. to this day, i have never seen anything like that. which is a pain. Nerih 0
i think a completed smoothed rear end is good, bumpers the lot (maybe leave the spoiler), and then add a colour coded votex rear splitter, to finish it off.
Seademon 0
Im having my rear wiper and stuff removed when I have the car resprayed after xmas - save a bit of weight aswell removing the wiper motor etc - not a lot but it all counts!

Nerih 0
hahahhahaha i was hoping you'd notice that .pardon me, but you have a nice rear end hehehehe
dubloke 4
pardon me nerih, going back to saying i need less beer, why in the hell would anyone with a mk3 even buy an aero wiper for a mk4 when its blatantly obvious that the wiper spindle on a mk4 goes thru the screen? i wasnt trying to take the piss, just asking if u realised the difference, which u say u did, which then begs the original answer, "why?". if you remove the rear hatch spoiler when removing the wiper, the rear screen stays clearer as it moves forward by not trapping the air under the spoiler creating by the vehicles "footprint" as it moves thru air! Nerih 0
pvw in 2004 had a mk3 with a modified m4 aero wiper, its possible, and i wanted to see if i could possibly do it,when it rains its still going to get a lot of rain on th rear, i use the car quite a bit as a daily driver as do my family, so i can't take off the wiper, but i'm interested in finding a decent alternative... Mr Anderson 1
Just had my rear smoothed (insert your own joke here) and my car is a daily driver. Not had any visability problems at all and looks so much nicer. Even if you can't be bothered to wash the car that often shouldn't cause any problems. If its looking dirty just clean the glass!! !lol
Nerih 0
did you have the number plate recess smoothed too ?
Mr Anderson 1
No, just spoiler, badge and wiper removed. Sorry,no camera at the moment so can't post a pic
Nerih 0
i think having the rear and front bumpers smoothed might be the next thing to do, they seems really nice smoothed.
binliner 0
not selling it anymore then?
Mr Anderson 1
I am still trying to figure out if I like smoothed bumpers or not. by the way, if you are thinking of having stuff done to your rear hatch let me know because I have a spare one (bought one from scrappy that is now fitted to my car to save my car being off the road for too long, I was also not sure about the quality of workmanship at the place that carried out the work so I thought it would be a good idea to have a spare!) turned out to be a really good finish and a really good price (
Nerih 0
not selling it anymore then?its will be going in a few months, while i have the cash i'd like to do it up a bit more.put the hatch on ebay?
binliner 0
not much point... smoothing the bumpers will have little effect on the value of the car
Mr Anderson 1
Why are you selling??? After spending all that hard earned on charging your car it would be a shame. Is it not all you hoped it would be?
Nerih 0
its very good, but i want to try something different, i'd keep it if i could but ive been made a good offer on px.even though im selling it, i still have a list of things im doing to it, the px price is quite good, so im not bothered.only, stage 2, wipers, hids and a bit of paintwork to do.as for the bumpers, they need a good respray anyway, so i figure while im there i might as well have some smoothing done. binliner 0
part ex price would have to be bloody amazing for me to do all those things for the new owners benefit!!
cookiesvw 0
i have had mine smoothed but i kept the rear badge as highline ones are diff but personal opinion.
Nerih 0
looks great, im looking to do the bumpers rather than the wiper though, your car is awesome looking btw.
francisjonno 2
[blockquote]Nerihlol, anyways, back on topic, i phoned up the fiat breakers in southwark to find they have plenty of wipers and will let me try before i buy, if they fit good, i'll buy a few and sell them on, they only cost a 10 bucks so its not a big'un. The only thing i need to check is that they have holes for the washer jet, becuase if not, then there isn't any point. [/blockquote] Have you had any luck trying to fit a punto rear wiper?
