Buzzark 0
I thought the 4motion used a 24v?
TVR6 0
It does. It's a 2.9 24v which outs out 204bhp at the flywheel. Apparantly asmatic when compared to the VR6 12v.
rmn 0
yeah it is the v6 4 motion engineIt is a 2.8 and it is 204bhpWhat i am planning is to put it into a mk3 with a turbo kit, but we will see if this happens Thanks for the help
MK2R32 0
A STD R32 uses a CR of 11 to
TVR6 0
RMN, sorry to correct you mate, the V6 4-Motion is a 2.9, not 2.
richievr 1
tvr 6 - sorry mate to you but rmn is correct the v6 4 motion is definately 2.8 not 2.9 . . . . engine codes are BDE and AUE and AQP. . . year wise from 98 - 04 mk 4 golf / bora. . . .if you put it into a mk3 you will have BETTER fuel consumption than with a vr6 lump!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!its a newer generation engine hence more efficient. . TVR6 0
Ooops, apologies! %-6 I stand corrected. I had always been told otherwise. Now i know better
rmn 0
Well i got my 24v lump last night, it needs a rebuild, but i will do that and see then.Anyone know much about the management of these engines and wheather a vr6 coilpack loom and ecu might work? Thanks
richievr 1
no they wont work at all . . . . .you will need 24v loom leads plugs etc . . . .and probably clocks and starter switch and key to get over the immobiliser. . . .speak to a specialist such as jbs (they put an r32 engine into a mk2)
rmn 0
Thanks for that, i think i will just go standalone management and that allows me to run a turbo kit should i decide i want to.Thanks again
