Hi All

I'm looking at buying a set of RH split rims (8x17), I know you need adaptors to correct the offset (et60 to et35) but do the adaptors also need to correct the pcd to 5x100?

I've been looking at the German RH website and it seems to suggest that the wheels have a 5x112 pcd (although my translation may be wrong! :? )

How much do the adaptors cost? Where from?

Also, which tyre size do people recommend with 8x17? 205-40-17 or 215-40-17 (my car is lowered 40mm, not coilovers, and I'd like to avoid rubbing as far as poss but don't want the tyres to disintergrate in 2 minutes from being streched too far!)

Cheers for any help

Jonno

yes the RH alloys come with 'spacer/adaptors' which reduce the offset to 35 and change the stud pattern to 5x112. The one thing you must get with the alloys, is the special small head bolts that go into the adapters, they are like normal m8 bolts but have half their head chopped so they fit nicely in the adaptor holes, normal bolts will stick out, and be dangerous, and cause vibration.

can i give you a suggestion, the RH splits are nice, but take a look at schmidt alloys, their 3 piece alloy is much stronger (from the video's it seems as though you cant kerb them lol) and look good and are more unique.

those are what im saving up for.

Very nice rims mate, I know the RH ZW1's come complete with adaptors to fit the specified car.

Not sure about the ZW2's though as I know they weren't available in a VW fitment a few years back when I bought my ZW1's, as they were aimed purely for Merc fitment.

Try giving Paul a ring at Montys Tyre and Wheel as he was very helpful when I was importing my RH's before. Think he has a contact over there at RH direct. 01753 440006/7. tell him Simon with the Purlple VR on RH's sent ya!

Simon.
