Higher up the food chain...

This made me laugh... Came across this quote from another forum (there were two identical, one said VR6 the other GTi) Anyway, made me think back to the other posts we have made regarding chavs, corsas, astras etc.

*** Isn't the pleasure in owning a Chim - or any TVR - not just the knowing you that you could blow away the VR6 if you nailed it, but the fact that your doing it in a car that looks and sounds the absolute dogs, and, with no fancy driver aids needs an element of skill and capability to keep the thing on the tarmac? The Chim is a ballsy muscle car with attitude. A Golf VR6 is a girlie shopping car with a bit of poke and a lot of forgiveness. Revel in your superiority! ***

Nerih and all you other SC'd VRs, where are you?!

Self-righteous pratt.

Presumably he has driven the Chimaera from the day he passed his test, and never driven a lesser car. I used to know a bloke who owned a major TVR dealership in the South East, and serviced our Stag. He didnt have that attitude, with our "lesser" car, because thats where he started too.

I 'll look for quotes on Zonda-OC.COM and look for snide remarks about TVRs....

:P

I see a lot more TVRs on the hard shoulder with the bonnet up than I do VWs. Early Chims used to blow their own rear axles, I believe.

Still, we ARE talking about a different league of performance car here. If you'd spent that much money on a car, you would EXPECT to be able to blow away ANY hot hatch, including supercharged VR6s.

everything about that post is right about the comments in regards to the vr6, yes the chimera is a superior car...in probably every way apart from reliablity haha, but lets face it, its a stupid comparison...like a vr6 vs a nova, like a space shuttle against a f1 car, or jet against a saab....you can't possibly compare them, totally agree with binliner.

i dont think my car would stand a chance against a TVR, i have an N reg golf that is 10 years old and spent 8 years taking a porno dealing granddad to the shops everyweek...lol...

V8 powered subframe smashing is what i thought you'd wrote LOL

VR6 & TVR are only 1 letter/number apart maybe he got confused with our shopping mobiles....mine will be trundling to tesco with 300bhp long after the glimer in its owners eyes fades into black nothingness.

respect the darkness. x)
