BMC CDA bouncing about on bumps

I'm almost certain it's banging about under the bonnet in fact i can hear it when i go over a bump. Is there anyway of securing it so it doesn't bounce all over the place. At the moment it's attached by a bracket that's holding it but it seems to be banging about, anyone else had this problem ?? solution?

Had the same problem, mine was banging on the wing, just needed the bracket bending a bit so the BMC sat a bit lower.

also is it normal to only hear the 'noise on full throttle? when i'm just driving at 30 it might as well be a standard box, mind you it tells me when i'm speeding

yes, i only used to get the induction growl under full throttle between above 2k.

if you are on the motorway, try putting your foot down, i've had countless complements about the angry sound it gives.

Ive not heard about an after-market induction kit that doesn't hit some part of the engine bay that it shouldnt - my V8 Grand Cherokee one needed bending into shape to stop it banging the wheel arch.

Give it a whack. Or be responsible and delicate. Your choice.

my ram air has never hit any part of the under bonnet area or made any knocking noises tbh. and thats as big as you can get a filter on the vr really!

I never had any probs with my bmc... have u bolted the bracket to the tensioner?

yeah it's bolted to it ! but it doesn't look very sturdy

dont forget, the smaller the bracket is, the more studier the bracket is....

yes, it's normal to only hear it roar on full throttle....
