VR6CABBS 1,311
Does anyone know what size the speakers are in the dash, door and rear panels on a 3dr. I wanna replace all my standard speakers with uprated ones. Cheers.
Big J 283
Doors are 165mm and I think the rears are the same but I don't know about the dash sorry mate. The grills pop off dead easy and the speakers just flick out if you wanted to put a tape across one. VR6CABBS
Bealieboy 1,625
Dash speakers are 3.5 inch, doors 6.5 Inch. Here's a link for some dash speakers I've been considering. http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=130471974999 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk VR6CABBS

Plus for an extra £5.00 you can have pioneer or alpine. I've got all alpine in mine pal so I'm gonna replace with alpine components. Just wondering if the speakers in my back panels are he same size as in rear doors?

Those Mac audios will fit the dash of the mk3 cabbs, I'm sure of it, I was only going to add them for a bit of staging up front as mines all in the back at the mo, but you are right, you can get better for not a lot more...... I must get my components fitted in the front! Roll on chrimbo hols! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
VR6CABBS 1,311
Yeah they look the same pal and seem to be cheaper for the mk2. Just my luck to buy some and the fittings are slightly offset. Haha. Yeah roll in the chrimbo hold. Last year we worked in between and it was dead. This year I'm shutting it down on the 23rd and not going back till the 2nd of jan. Only too do all the bits on my car that is because I keep my VR at work. Haha. Did you score the wings from that fella breaking that highline the other week? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Surreyvr6 199
Have you got a pic of the tweeters mounted? Would be interested to see thatSent from your mums iPhone using Tapatalk
CALICO 130
I had them surface mounted right behind the windscreen tint firing across the dash at the opposite seat at head height, I didn't take any pictures but they lifted the bass up from the bottom of the doors. I think it gives better staging but its all trial and error what sounds good to me might not suit others . It was a kit similar to this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rainbow-DL-C6-3-Dream-Line-165-mm-3-way-System-with-100m-midrange-/281079148756?pt=UK_In_Car_Technology&hash=item41719f70d4 Edited December 11, 2014 by CALICO
