apd 0
If you had plenty of cash would you max the mods on a VR?Or would it be a grown vw-Audi?third option:DREAM CITY/LOTTERY BUDGET?please air your views.
acf8181 0
say i won the lotto, i'd have...scooby RB5 as daily direvr (later replaced with skyline R34),caterham 7 as fun car (later replaced with radical),ferrai 360 convertible (as posing car!),and a tuned up vr6 (later replaced with some genuine WRC car).mods on the vr6...-ENGINE:lightened and balanced, schrik, cams, head, big tb, re-map,-BOX: 6 speed conversion with diff and sequential comversion.-SUSP: leda coilovers, neuspeed bars, bushes, quick rack-BRAKES: one-off AP's-INTERIOR: r32 -EXTERIOR: nothing much, maybe some crystal lights, but that'd be about it. amit 0
If i had plenty off cash lying around, i still wouldnt get rid of the VR. Its always been a dream of mine to have a mk3 vr boasting 350bhp+. What is sooo amazing about these cars is, that even in the present time the car has strongly held onto its reputation (standard or modified), which many hot hatches have failed to do so. Id probably get a 4 wheel drive conversion done along with some very very serious engine upgrades.
amit 0
stage 5 turbo for me mate!
FishWick 21
R32 conversion in the Corrado I think, less the winky DSG box and a 911 (993 model year) bi-turbo as a daily driver.
VR6Steve 0
I'd have my car sorted to how I want it to be, but just don't have the money to do it. Possibly buy a new A3 3.2 V6 as a daily runner (my mate says it makes all the right noises :-)). 23 window Samba "party bus" as a place to hang out at shows.Corrado Storm for the Mrs as its her dream carStandard looking 3dr Mk2 Golf 16v probably in Oak Green (boring i know).Original RallyeLastly a house with a huge garage and a bit of land to have me VW mates over and have our own mini shows. If i get bored open up my own specialist garage and employ my 2 mates as techies and to help run it.Now all i've got to do is start playing the lottery! :-)
binliner 0
MK1 20v turbo with everything sorted to cope with the power but looking like a standard gtiMk2 16v G60 limited TVR Tuscan R32 & an M3 as daily driversand Make the Highline a phat euro look show stopper gotta have a 911 at some point as well and a corrado storm for the collection, oh and a yellow beetle for my mum! but then Id be too busy travelling around the world to drive any of them! nickbee 1
if we're actually assuming money is no object, that could be a very long list! But assuming I've only got parking for, say eight cars, I'd have:Range RoverAudi S8BMW M3Lambo MurcielagoFerrari 550 MaranelloFerrari 250 SWBTrackday Ferrari F40Original Shelby CobraAssuming I just had more cash than I do I'd definitely change the VR. Don't know what, I'd have to do lots of test drives!!![ Edited Fri Mar 26 2004, 10:15AM ]
binliner 0
you're such a tart! I like the sound of the cobra though
antera309 3
I'd have an AmD-tuned Audi RS6 and Porsche 911GT RS in there next to my Lamborghini Gallardo.Would still keep the VR though. Would have it turbo'd, NOSsed and stripped down, then use it for drag racing. Might see if DubSport could pop another VR6 engine in the back![ Edited Fri Mar 26 2004, 12:21PM ]
acf8181 0
thing is if money were no object, you'd still end up with only two or three cars, as you'd quickly get favourites and never drive the rest. me thinks sooner or later you'd end up with no vw's.
nickbee 1
You could have more than two or three, you'd just have them for different occasions. Look at my list - a Range Rover for taking rubbish to the tip, an M3 to pop to the gym, an S3 for the shopping, a couple of sports cars for the weekend, a cobra for summer blasts and a 250 to, er, polish.I agree completey about the VWs."Hmm, shall I take the VR6 or the 360..."Tricky one... Desire68 0
Well Guy's,Now you've started it.If money was no object I would have a house like one of the Rap stars on MTV Cribs.Firstly i'd build a massive plane Hanger type garage to take about 20 cars at least,This would be double glazed, centrally heated and sound proofed, with a white tiled floor and a dugout with an electric floor cover for when it's not in use! The first car in the collection would have to be the BMW X5 for the wife and kids then the E46 M3 in carbon black with imola red nappa interior for me the VR would stay and i'd supercharge it and make it something worthy of the next edition of The Fast and The Furious.then i'd have an Audi S3 compleatly remodded by a tuning firm in Germany, also an original AC Cobra,a BMW Z1,a 911 RS turbo, lambogini diablo,a Mclaran F1(Spelling!!) a Subaru P1 and an RB5,an EVO 5 and an EVO 8 both in dandilion yellow,a modified R32 (obviously!) a GMC FBI style 4X4,and a lot of others from the Geneva tuning show that I can't remember right now.Being a biker as well i would also have My YAM R6,a YAM R1(2004) a Honda Fireblade a Ducati 748 in yellow and a 996 in Black(obviously) and a Yam quad bike!!I keep telling myself that it will happen one day,and of course you guys are all welcome to come round when it does!!Mike.
