AxlFoley 5
I'm sure I have seen somewhere that you can get a billet thermostat housing to replace the crappy black plastic one, does anyone sell them in the UK? ThanksMarkSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

VR6Pete 1,455
Take a look here: http://www.vr6oc.com/forum/topic/42467-alloy-vr6-thermostat-housing/Not sure why people think the plastic one is awful considering if untouched will last 100k miles, if you need to remove for any reason then only replace with genuine items. never had any issues with them on any of my VR6's over the last 10 years Club Chairman

AxlFoley 5
To be honest I thought the replacement plastic one would be more expensive than they are, I think I'll stick with plastic, thanks for finding the alloy one though Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
MK4motionVR6 41
I've just stripped/rebuilt my engine & after 150,000 miles, I've found absolutely nothing wrong with the OEM plastic crack pipe & housing.. I just bunged them in the dish washer & replaced all the seals, thermostat & temp sensor with new bits.. And hey presto!! Like new againMk4motionVR6 Edited May 2, 2014 by MK4motionVR6 michael5556
