GTI TrackShow, Donington July 30-31

Recommended Posts

Copied and pasted from another forum:

New for 2005 is GTI TrackShow, a major new event on the show calendar.

The venue is Donington Park race circuit, which is just off the M1 at

junction 24 and bang in the middle of the country. The concept behind

the show is simple: get the best venue, make it as central as possible and

then pack it with the UK's best traders and masses of show cars.

Throw in a massive indoor traders hall (no getting cold and wet here!),

together with exclusive GTI-only track slots on the Saturday and we've

hopefully created something that showgoers will really enjoy.

The event attractions are as follows:

Show and shine on both days with sizeable CASH prizes for class winners

and best of show.

Massive indoor trade hall with restaurant and bar

Exclusive GTI-only track slots aimed at the novice for only £25 (pre-

booked) for a 20-minute slot with full drivers briefing. We also offer full

day passes for experienced drivers at £125 for the full day. Track day is

on the Saturday only.

Win a GTI! One lucky showgoer will win a very original big-bumper Mk 2

Golf GTI 8V - simply fill out a form once you get inside the trade hall and

you'll enter the draw. The winner will be announced on Sunday and get

the keys there and then!

We'll also be having the Dynomobile rolling road, as well as live action

events (probably tyre testing but still to be finalised)

FREE CAMPING on site. On Friday and Saturday night there's free onsite

camping available. Facilities are basic, but will include showers and loos.

If you want to stay in a hotel or B&B there are loads to choose from locally

and we offer a hotel finder service on our website.

There are loads of other things we've got planned, so it's best to check

out our website for the latest news. Full pricing and booking details are

online too.

Anyway, we hope to see lots of Club GTI members having fun at the show

in July. Our aim is to be the number one GTI show within five years.

Don't worry vr6highline there's nowt wrong with you car 8) .

I dont think it's just about how good your car is, it's more about taking part and been united as club, and also meeting like minded people as your self ;) , because everyone dosen't understand how obsessed ~:( we are about our cars. !amazed

No worries guys I'm sure we'll have some more for the sunday. I'm there all weekend I think i'll just prob camp up there. I think dubloke will be attending but not heard anything from mat lately - he must be busy!

As long as we get four cars per day then the stand will go ahead on both days.

This should be a really good show seeing we have all the track action going in at the same time as well :)

Guys I'm going to be horrid I cant actually make this show due to the fact I have to get my valver engine back in the car this weekend or it not going to be ready for a RR day I've got it booked in for B)

However the displays are booked so our stand will go ahead!

If any of you would like to take over for organiser for each of the days I would really appriciate it but if not I will keep you all posted on here for all the infomation on the show.

Sorry to let you down

Claire
