Im thinking it cud be on the limit with that, and when I have a charger sorted, i think i'll have to swap to 25bhp jets...Any ideas?

VRmonster 1
how are most vr nitrous setups injected? as ive seen a few that have the intake mani drilled so the ports flow direct down the lowre intake and straight into the head. but it looked crap and made the engine bay look like a jap car, lol. J5KE F 0
Mine is set up through a single fogger drilled in the air inlet pipe.. apparently good for up to 150BHP, if you want to go above that, then direct port (drilled in each intake port) but i've heard this can be a bugger if a single injector fails...I wouldnt go back and i'm 100% sure i'll be fitting it to my next project http://www.noswizard.com/bboard/index.php?sid=cf2650289e5ec31047c71d77d4413c4fthis forum is pretty usefull and they are all really helpfull![ 882_nos.jpg ]

J5KE F 0
This sunday may be the big bang?!?!?! !dodge but i have my eye on a 2.9 incase, with a view to major uprating...The kit cost me £250 of a mate (usually £5-600), since then, i have spend £300 on a 2nd 11lb bottle and brackets, £300 on a dynotune, purge kit, switch centre and pressure guage, and £370 on the digital progressor, oh yeah, and £50 per refil / bottle! (i'm up to about 6 so far!!!) but i am told you do calm down after a while...?all in all with the rolling road setup on thursday, around £1500. but to be pushing 300 brake at the end of it... worth every penny i think?? be interested to find out what other performance upgrades like superchargers gain against cost???Insurance quotes: cost me £800 fully comp - 28y/o engineer in southampton - Actually i'm tpff with my 23yo partner on cos she likes to drive it too and thats £620 with aflux. badboyV6 4
I thought running NOS in a standard VR6 was a no no if you want the engine to last.... Enlighten me.... ;-)
J5KE F 0
the engine has had no internal upgrades, only plugs, leads and soon to do hoses. external, the shrick, ind kit and brakes. I think i am probably at the limit now for 250brake (ish), could do with anyone else who has gone this route to offer feedback..? as i said, i am looking for a 2.9 as i am expecting a bang - although i am hoping that the progressor will assist in prolonging life for the rest of the season. Why would runnning nos in sensible doses i.e. 25brake be a no no for a vr6 or any car?? :? badboyV6 4
Wasnt criticising your choice of power m8, as you say 25BHP is nothing to increase by, however running 300, surely there would be some kind of issues (with regard to reliability) running that on a stock motor? I ask because i dont know much about it.... Whats wrong with your current engine?
J5KE F 0
I would believe that any standard engine would struggle with anything above 25, that was why i chose the Vr - well built and solid. it has taken the 50 with no probs, and with the help of trhe progressor, (allowing gradual power build up) it should be ok with the 100's. I have read that in most cases, the clutch will start slipping and by regular inspection of the plugs, (which with a shrick is very difficult!) you can almost always stop before detonation..Sorry if the message seemed rude, it wasnt meant to be, late night & too much work on! !dodge %-
