J4Y VR 36
Hi, I'm in the middle of building my vr6 turbo engine. I wanted to know, what is needed to run vr6 engine in a mk4 4motion as I want to run the haldex. I already have both cars for the conversion. Thanks Jay Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk VR6Pete
Daverse 175
Do you mean the 24v engine? Just the gearbox i believe if the shell already has the haldex and subframes e.t.c Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
J4Y VR 36
I want my 12v vr6 to be fitted in the mk4 4motion shell. I know that the engine block wil fit in the mk4 and fit the gearbox. What i need is the rest to work like haldex and dash ect... Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
Swivelonit 119
I have a rear subframe and rear diff if you need that, PM me, as for getting everything back into the shell, I think you are a very brave man indeed. The amount of electronics is quite daunting, ESP,ASR and ABS all have something to do with the Haldex system as it works on the principle of the front wheels slipping before it locks the rears in also. I am guessing an ECU is a must also. The VR engine should just fit as I believe the dimensions to be the same as the 24 valve or there a bouts.
J4Y VR 36
What do i do? Fit a lsd in the mk3 and drive it or pull my hair out trying to get wiring sorted im going bald thinking about it!!! Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
Swivelonit 119
I would buy one of the many cheap 4 mo's with engine issues, keep all the running gear and fit your VR, sounds about the simplest route. Lots of cheap 4 mo's I only gave £350 for mine.

Swivelonit 119
you haven't got enough money lol I suppose you could source the remains of one of the two 4 motions breaking on here, they will still have the looms and stuff in, much easier job then. Just a thought.

Daverse 175
Why not put in the 24v block in? Then all wiring and ecus e.t.c will match up Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
J4Y VR 36
Ive spent about 2k on my engine low comp pistons and rods arp bolts big valve head ect.. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
Daverse 175
Ahh fair enough, you would need to either replace the loom, ecu and i think fusebox, or splice the two looms together Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
