As you can see mine's got a split so I need to know what to ask for in order to replace it.There's a lot of dirt around the split, does this mean air has now been sucked in through here without going through the filter, if so may this have caused any damage?Cheers, Paul. badboyV6 4 Posted April 25, 2005 Report Share Posted April 25, 2005 lol- i had lots of hassle trying to find out waht it was- its called a - vacuum valve and is basically a flame trap with a diaphragm inside. If you go to VW they'll wat 133 quid + VAT for it as you have to buy the whole inlet pipe with it.You can get one form Eurocarparts for 33 quid.... acf8181 0 Posted April 26, 2005 Report Share Posted April 26, 2005 i exceeded the bandwidth...but its all back now haven't got an mr2 yet....but my other half is checking out a turbo for me today (somewhere between 225 and 240bhp through the rear wheels....eek!)...i should really be sensible and get a n/a tho.
