CALICO 130
Because its alot cheaper to get the battery tray from mk3 golf and a couple of spot welds to fix it to the boot floor. The cable would be the expensive part but that can be bought from a car breakers out of a bmw or such like.

cabrioman 6
why not use a mk4 battery tray and a set of long jump leads cut the clamps off and put some battery terminals on one end and some solder joints on to the other for the starter motor and earth, and join the extra positive leads on the new cables ???? Daverse 175
Just make a tray and ground it the chassis, and run bigger cables to cary the current further.

varr6pete 0
I run several cars, including a VR6. I also have a turbo'd Opel Manta, to which I moved the battery to the boot. The cable I used came from a BMW Z3...heavy duty ...just the job, ideally buy it off a private breaker, as dealers know the price of copper so charge more...
michael5556 247
Or just go to the thieves Halfords and get some amp power cable. 4awg or less. They have it on a roll.
