It won't have power steering, so expect it to be heavy and cornering could be a bit suspect. But in a straight line I'm sure it'll fly. VRmonster 1 Posted March 15, 2005 Report Share Posted March 15, 2005 looks sweet mate, id make sure the drivetrain has been upgraded, including front and rear brakes. i like the way they have cut the slam panel to show off the runners for the intake manifold. cant hide that shit. how much you paying for it? Power steering is pretty much an essential system on a VR6 due to the weight of the engine. I can't imagine that it would have been omitted when the conversion was done. dubloke 4 Posted March 20, 2005 Report Share Posted March 20, 2005 i would agree with justin and nick on the power steering thang tbh! on the subject of performance i had the rare chance of a go in PI LET, dubsports polo offering some years back, and although very very quick for a polo and deceptively nimble, it was no quicker on the road compared to a golf vr6. prob down to the fact that its not meant to be in a polo to start with and like all vr6 conversions into smaller cars, becomes front heavy and a little more ragged when driven hard! still a shit load of fun tho!
