rsweeney 40 Posted January 10, 2012 Report Share Posted January 10, 2012 just finished conversion and just trying to get it listed as vr. told i need engine number , weight of car and mechanics report.will it pass mechanics report to be registered with split crankcase breather? and atm it has old subframe bolts in i need to use new subframe bolts where can i get these from and what the torque setting ? unsure what else it could fail on but tracking is slightly out Link to post Share on other sites
oldmandon 1 Posted January 10, 2012 Report Share Posted January 10, 2012 The engineers report is just to confirm that the build is sound and not likely to fall apart as you drive, and that the vehicle will pass an MOT. It can in fact be done by an MOT tester as I had to do that when I changed an engine in a Lancia I owned. So I don't think old bolts will matter, so long as they are secure.....
