Timah89 1
Right looking at completely re-doing the entire brake system (apart from callipers). my question is what do i need and where do i get it from?? things i am changing - Front Discs - gotFront Pads - gotrear discs - gettingrear pads - gotbraided hoses front and rear - which ones to get??new copper brake lines for full system - what size, how much of it?? i am also looking at getting rid of the ABS as it is causing me nothing but trouble so what do i need to do with that, brake bias valve, compensator? again where would i get this from and how easy/hard is it all to do? if there is anything i have missed let me know

legvw 0
Yes it's all fairly easy, alot easier with no interior! As long as you remove the abs warnin light, along with everything abs related, then there's no reason to fail an mot.And yes, you'll probably need to use a bias valve for the rear brakes.Oh, and you'll need rear wheel bearings too as they are pressed into the rear discs. legvw 0
A 25ft roll should be enough, would be wise to get new fittings too.You can buy the bias valves off eBay.
VIW28 29
Doing this myself, there's a guy sells pipe on eBay called Cunifer pipe. It's very similar to the original pipe and not the bright non oem looking colour of new copper pipe. Bought a kit last week for 45 quid, that's for 25feet of line and includes a flaring tool and unions.
