rsweeney 40 Posted December 3, 2011 Report Share Posted December 3, 2011 need to push the front caliper piston in as it has come out to far for me to be able to get the caliper onto the disk.i have tried pushing whilst top is off the reservoir but no luck and have tired with a g clamp. In the proccess snapping the brake wear indicator .do i use a g clamp with bleed nipple undone ? please help i need to fix this today !! Link to post Share on other sites
cbmotorsport 0 Posted December 4, 2011 Report Share Posted December 4, 2011 if you havent done this yet, undo the bleed nipple and use a big pair of grips, a g clamp may punch a hole through the back of the piston , or at best it might crack it. Link to post Share on other sites

Vw_owner 1 Posted December 4, 2011 Report Share Posted December 4, 2011 instead of getting a new caliper, aslong as the piston isnt scored or marked you could just remove the caliper {which you need to do anyway} from the car, blow out the piston with an airline and replace the o-ring/seal..im assumeing the leak is comming from the piston, Link to post Share on other sites
